Love & Compassion. What will hopefully, one day soon, be the two main standards for the times in which we live. Imagine a world in which everyone believes in, and practices, love and compassion; to everyone, to everything. May each of us bear these standards with pride, throughout this life as well as into the next, and do our best to uphold the tenets of these simple, yet sometimes incredibly hard-to practice philosophies.

Did you ever wonder why it is that the frost/ice build-up on your car windows is always thicker on the drivers side of the windshield. Or why having said this that it takes longer for the defrosters to clear the drivers side of the windshield. Of course, with it being thicker that is the only thing that makes sense to me. Or why is it, that the windshield wiper on the drivers side is always the one to have a problem when the wiper blades work the same amount of time. Years ago while driving my VW bug in a downpour in California (and yes it does rain in California) the drivers side windshield wiper blade on the upward swing just went sailing off into never, never land. This, of course, necessitated me pulling over to the curb, getting out in the pouring rain and transferring the remaining wiper blade to the driver side and leaving the passenger side up off the window so the windshield wouldn’t be scratched. Maybe there is some sort of message being sent to me that I’m not understanding or the gods of the windshield just need a good laugh. Have a great weekend and if you have any answers let me know. Chat with you soon.

The New Year is a time for new beginnings, a time to reflect on the past year, let go of the negative and be reminded of the positive events in our lives. Many will be making New Years resolutions, the most popular, of course, are those about our health; lose weight, change our eating habits, and exercise more. While these are important to our well-being, I would propose that we all endeavor to be kinder to our fellow human (ok, I’m getting the message to include animals in this thought).

With respect to our fellow human I would like to remind all of you to “Not judge a book by its cover”. How many times have you passed judgement on someone simply by how they look? How well educated they are and the list can go on and on. Remember that a simple smile can brighten someones day.

Many Blessings to Everyone for a New Year filled with Joy and Happiness!!!!

Tis the season to remember our friends and family. In the spirit of the season as we look to family and friends it would be a good time to practice forgiveness for the little hurts and even big ones that have caused us to be estranged from loved ones. It may be that you will have to take the initiative and say you’re sorry. In either case it will be well worth your while to resolve your differences and start the New Year with a clean slate.

We wish all of you Many Blessings for a Joyous and Happy Holiday Season.

Whew! Another year has come and gone…the pace of life seems to be ever-increasing! A few days ago, in the midst of rushing around decorating the store. I was hanging some groovy new art pieces that spell out words utilizing re-purposed license plates. As I laid them flat, deciding how to hang them on the wall, I discovered a new manta and now recite it daily.

Breathe Peace.

Breathe Peace at all times…breathe peace in all that you do.

Remember, as you go about this season of holy days…Breath In. Breath Out. Breathe Peace

Sorry don’t look for the re-purposed license plates at Inquire Within.

A BIG THANK YOU to the reader that commented on the spelling errors. I do use spell check but when I did a review of all postings I not only found a few spelling errors but much to my surprise there were errors in our about section and some other areas that were posted long ago. While these errors were not spelling errors, strange symbols were now appearing in various areas. I’m sure a computer expert could explain how this happened but as I’m not one I don’t have a clue. Thank you again for the “heads up” on this problem. It has made me aware of the fact that I need to check our site more often to be sure that all is in order.

Have a great day everyone and try to get out and enjoy the sunshine.
