Reflections for the New Year!

Reflections for the New Year!

The New Year is a time for new beginnings, a time to reflect on the past year, let go of the negative and be reminded of the positive events in our lives.  Many will be making New Years resolutions, the most popular, of course,  are those about our health;  lose weight, change our eating habits, and exercise more.  While these are important to our well-being, I would propose that we all endeavor to be kinder to our fellow human (ok, I’m getting  the message to include animals in this thought).

With respect to our fellow human I would like to remind all of you to “Not judge a book by its cover”.  How many times have you passed judgement on someone simply by how they look? How well educated they are and the list can go on and on.  Remember that a simple smile can brighten someones day.

Many Blessings to Everyone for a New Year filled with Joy and Happiness!!!!

Wow - so true, And thank you. So many are struggling right now to hold on to a belief that things can improve - especially when their world and security (or imagined security) is disappearing before their eyes.

There are only three things we can truly count on: Impermanence - all things change (constantly); Ourselves - beyond ourselves, inside ourselves, with our Selves; No separation; we are all a part of this same organism we call life, interconnected. That we think we are different is an illusion of a twisted society. - Happy New Year! Love each other - Love yourself. Do No Harm. Help each other. - This is the Law and The Prophets.
